Get in Touch

We’d love to hear from you — ScrambleWise is built and maintained by people who use it themselves, and feedback from other word-game fans is what keeps it improving.

Typical reply within 2–3 working days.

Before you write — common questions

How do I report a word that should be valid in a tool?

Email us the word and which tool rejected it. We use public-domain dictionaries (the dwyl/english-words list and ENABLE) and don’t maintain the lists ourselves — but we can switch a tool’s default dictionary or add a note about coverage gaps. Note that words specific to Scrabble’s TWL or SOWPODS tournament lists may not be in our public-domain sources.

Can I get the dictionary data for my own project?

Yes — the underlying word lists are public domain and freely available at their original sources: github.com/dwyl/english-words for the comprehensive list, and the ENABLE word list for the Scrabble-style dictionary. You don’t need permission from us.

Do you have an API I can integrate?

Not currently. ScrambleWise runs entirely in your browser — there’s no backend to expose as an API. If you’re building something similar, the public word lists linked above plus a few hundred lines of JavaScript can replicate most of the matching logic.

Can I advertise on the site?

We may add advertising in the future via standard programmatic networks. We don’t currently sell direct placements. If your offer is unusually relevant to our audience (word-game communities, puzzle publishers, etc.), get in touch and we’ll have a look.

Can you help me cheat at Words With Friends against my partner?

That’s on you. We just provide the tools. ;)

What we can’t help with

Prefer not to email? You can also read about the project or check the blog for strategy guides and word lists.
